It is always a good idea to ask clients for RECOMMENDATIONS I have them and it posted on my site, however clients do not want to bother writing, and I do not really like to press them... . What I usually do send questioner via email and some, not all( unfortunately) respond and that can be use as RECOMMENDATION ( as long as it is positive....) I have asked in the past for testimonial from customers. And have recently type up a survey sheet to give to future customers on our performance and ask for a testimonial and if I can use them as a reference.
