Ask for Recommendations

Many customers go online to read recommendations before choosing a company, product or service. Recommendations help create trust between customers and businesses. Grow your business by asking for recommendations then publish them everywhere - your website, Manta profile, Facebook and Twitter. Making your information available helps give you greater visibility online and allows customers make an informed decision.

Excellent topic-

something I should be doing in a more active manner. Many of my local customers spread good "word of mouth" about their experience with my service, but I need to do more to document and display testimonials on my website, etc.

Thanks for posting this topic!

Good post!
Recommendations can be very important for potential customers comfort levels in doing business with you. Trust is always an important factor and good recommendations and reviews can help to build that trust factor.

Part of the service I perform for my clients is a review campaign and I can include a review button on the websites I build to take a client's customers directly to review submission sites.

I like this idea. Simple easy but all too often, I tend to concentrate on my customer's needs here and now and forget about the future and other folk just like them who could no doubt happily use our servicetoo with the same results. Thanks for posting this and the simple wake up call!

This is a great reminder. We should put more focus on this. As a staffing firm, we have both clients and applicants to ask which means we could potentially gain a number of online reviews relatively quickly.

Thank you for the reminder - My general focus is not only parents with children but also
their schools. Whether it be public or private.

Fundraising has become a very difficult task and people need to know that they can depend on a company to help them out.

I am all about the kids and making it easier for them to do things. So many go without.

It is always a good idea to ask clients for RECOMMENDATIONS I have them and it posted on my site, however clients do not want to bother writing, and I do not really like to press them... .
What I usually do send questioner via email and some, not all( unfortunately) respond and that can be use as RECOMMENDATION ( as long as it is positive....)

I teach Spanish-Immersion classes for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in 8-week sessions. At the end of each session, I ask parents to complete an "End of Class Survey" and I also include a testimonial form for them to complete as well. I have been very surprised with the amount of positive feedback that I have received thus far.

Well, this is exactly the service our company has been offering for the past 6 years!

We make it easy, via automation, to follow up with all of your customers, get feedback (aka. reviews or testimonials), have them displayed on your website within our widget and accompanied by our 'trust seal' which proves that your testimonials are legitimate and have been verified authentic by Testimonial Shield and then broadcast to all of the social media sites. try it out for free today at TestimonialShield.com

I have asked in the past for testimonial from customers.
And have recently type up a survey sheet to give to future customers on our performance and ask for a testimonial and if I can use them as a reference.
I am getting a lot of ideals from the feed backs here too.
All this technology in promoting a business is always changing, Thanks Manta for your tips.
