I would say that it depends on the content you have. If you want to reach the elderly, you can have tips on you tube so them and their relatives can see them. In your profile you have a list of services you offer. Based on that, I would think you could have diverse content. What would be beneficial as well would be to have a website if you don't already and a Facebook page to keep people up to date with the best advice. You tube would be more time consuming I believe. Why not. Youtube is another search engine with visual media which works really good. Easy to rank than micro sites and can bring good leads to your business. Just do a good optimization, create video channel.. If it is local targeted, make sure your target keyword in Title and Descriptions. Hey Veda Willis, I coach and consult with a numerous of business and organizations and I'm concern about your business model. What is your customer acquisition tool? and how are you going to compete with the funeral home services? I visited your website and looked at your business. To be honest (this is my opinion) I don't think anyone here that suggest you use a Youtube video for your business would ever seek your services there. (If you would please comment) I like your idea but the mechanics of how you build awareness with your customers and prospects and your economic model is going to be difficult.

You Tube is a great resource! I search for products and services on there all the time to get an interactive response. I think that I agree with some of the other responders that the elderly clients may not be the ones viewing the videos, so make sure you gear the information and sales strategy towards those assisting the elderly like friends, family, and caregivers. No matter what, the extra exposure won't hurt anything, even if it is not the #1 resource for obtaining new clients.
