You are no where to be found on Google searches. Page 7 on Google Places. You need some local search SEO to be found on local business searches.

You are in the type of business which will have large amount of searches done on mobile devices but your website is not mobile friendly, and even worse. Your Flash programing won't work on most mobile devices as well as the problems it creates with SEO. A mobile website is very important for a business like yours. Once you are mobile friendly, their are a number of very effective things you can do to promote with QR Codes.

Understanding who your target market is and what their search habits are is essential for any marketing to work. What are you currently doing to help your target market find you?

Hello! Thank you both for your replies. Dan thank you for your feedback. We are currently in the process of making changes to our website. Currently we are posting ads on the classifieds, using word of mouth, face book and twitter. Do you have any suggestions? Thank You!

Hi Zetta,

Brand yourself, network locally (I use meetup.com to find networking groups), and online marketing.

Regarding online marketing, companies need a Social Media Strategy, and Content Marketing Strategy to drive traffic to their sites. With this, good SEO practices are necessary.

I talk about this in the videos at http://imagebuildingwebdesign.com/video.

I suggest you especially see:

I hope this helps!

@ JD

Hey JD, I'm sorry, I just saw your question to me!
I build mobile websites, which is what most businesses really need, but I don't build apps. I am happy to discuss your needs with you. One thing to keep in mind, even if your business needs an app, you should still have a mobile website if you want to provide a mobile friendly experience. It's always best to look at the big picture rather then just the pieces.

A goals for "What's the best way to market your business in your community? "

Unless you have an advertising site (which means your audience is your product), your goal is more than the greatest number of viewers. The goal for site promotion are consistent with those for effective site design: First, you want to bring your target audience(s) to your site. Second, you want visitor to remain on your sticky site as long as possible. and Third, you want them to return multiple visits.

How People find sites
Viewers arrive at your site in three ways:
  • Through search engine results
  • By clicking on a link from another site, banner ad, or e-mail
  • By typing in your domain, which they have learned from word-of-month, print advertising, or other offline promotions.
Your goals must maximize all three for success.

The Magic 3-letter Word

Encourage people to visit and explore your site requires that you put yourself in their shoes. The second-most-powerful word in marketing has only three letters: Y-O-U. As long as you focus on what you viewers and customers need and expect, you can't go far wrong. Write your copy in second ("you'll receive; you'll enjoy; you'll earn...") as a reminder that your customers, not your business, is the focus of promotion.

Site promotion is no different from other marketing activities. By all means, note any techniques your competitors use to attract an audience, from where they advertise to what promotional items they hand out.
